Fashion Reads: If You Have to Cry, Go Outside

The heat outside yells, "It's summer". My mind is quite confused whether to rejoice or to panic. Summer would mean the end of my 4:30 am wake up calls to get ready for school. The end of my snoozing alarm would also mean no work for me - no more looking forward to the 15th and 30th days of the month (hope it wouldn't be for long...or else...). Well I guess I have to prepare for the boring days at home. It's time to catch up on my reading. I have my reading list ready! And on top of it is "If You Have to Cry, Go Outside" by Kelly Cutrone.

I would always introduce Kelly Cutrone to friends who do not know her as my future boss. I first fell in love with her on the reality show "The Hills" and learned to love her more in "The City". Her remarks, comments, advices and confrontations are wake up calls for women who wish to make it big in the real world - challenging us to go for what we want. But part of it is experiencing the meanness of the world and I guess, it would be fine to cry... and if you have to, just remember to go outside.

I have been watching "The Hills" over the summer last year and found myself silly following the lives of supposedly young adults... Well, I guess most of them were trapped or should I say insist on trapping themselves in the world of teens - living their lives with no direction.

To be fair, there were a few characters who had some ambition in life aside from aspiring to be someone's girl. These girls needed a nudge or maybe something stronger - a push. They needed Kelly Cutrone! Kelly is every ambitious girl's dream boss - funky, crazy, straight forward and pushy.

Someone asked me once who she was and all I said was that she was my future boss. Why not? I need a push!
