Adventuristang Feet

"No, the weariness of women comes from lives that are crammed with routine, with chores, with hundreds of demands. As Chekow said, "Any idiot can face a crisis. It's the day to day living that wears you out." Somehow, somewhere between our youth and yesterday, efficiency has taken the place of adventure."
(Captivating)

It was something I always wanted, something I needed, something I prayed for - I think all women do. With the demands that the world asks from us, we all need a time to refresh our hearts so we could generously give what the world expects from us (and maybe offer even more). So, I decided to have my "me time", the "sacred moment" where no worries or work gets in the way. My heart was yearning for a quiet time in the beach. I was initially set for Batangas but my adventuristang feet led me to... BALER!

It wasn't as quiet as how I first pictured my "sacred moment" to be - still waters, warm sand, whispering breeze. I pictured myself just lounging on the shore without any fear of raging waves slapping me off shore. Baler was the opposite of all that I planned but it was the perfect place that invited me to take on new adventures.

See the surfers? I was so in awe seeing them ride the waves...and at times being whacked by it...hehehe! I wasn't bold enough to try it out although I know there was a great part of me that wanted to be just as astig as they were... hehe! I promise to return one day and really try it out.

It was one early morning walk at the beach that led me to this paradise... Costa Pacifica! The perfect place to refresh your tired hearts!

I'm not much of a foodie but when I crave, I crave for Breakfast Food! This was my Day 2 Lunch - Smoked Bacon at the Beach House in Costa Pacifica. Yum! yum!

Coffee would go well with my Breakfast lunch order but since it was scorching hot, I wanted something more refreshing - buko lychee shake! Not quite a good match but who cares! hehe!

It was a much needed adventure, one that I took all on my own. Worries and work all left behind in the busy metro. We all need time to refresh our tired and hungry hearts - hearts that yearn for quietness. I guess experiencing a place as beautiful as BALER quieted my heart and made me yearn for more adventures.

Now that I'm back in the metro (a text message from work reminded me of where I already am), I wish that I'd hold on to the quietness that my BALER experience brought. I know that life in a few days would bring back all the routine and chores, that again efficiency would take on the place of adventure but as my heart is refreshed may I embrace all these with joy and expectation. I look forward to where my adventuristang feet would lead me next... Batanes perhaps?

See the quietness in the little girl's soul?
