Finding Travis

I like finding things. It gives you a certain dose of thrill – knowing that in a sea of different objects, you made a discovery - a discovery that you either keep to yourself or share to the world. The amount of excitement it gives the finder is nothing compared to that of the one being found. Knowing that someone saw a gift in you makes a whole lot of difference. Only if objects could speak, only if objects have life. But finding does not apply only to inanimate things. You find people. You discover gifts.

Every person in this world wishes for an Isabella Blow to appear in our own little fashion shows, that one person who will make a whole lot difference in your life – one who will believe and dream with you and sometimes, one who will dream for you (during times when you can’t). One who will take the risk of investing on the “little gift” you deemed you had, believing that that “little gift” has the potential to be much more. People like her find people… and they share it to the world.

Not everybody gets to find someone. Not everybody dares to share. I didn’t find Travis but those who found him, shared him to the world. Finding him is like searching for Nemo in the vast ocean – worth it. Finding people makes a whole lot of difference. It reminds them of their value and makes them realize that they can do much more than they ever thought. Travis was a dancer. Now, he dances and choreographs, does more things than what he once did… just because he was found.

Look around. Watch. Find.
