Breather!

I have been dreaming of…a white Christmas? Not really. I have just been begging for a breather from the unending demands of work. Work, these past few weeks has been like running the death march marathon - straining and exhausting!

But just like all marathons, you always get to your finish line… and then you take hold of your prize. Mine was a 4-day breather inclusive of a fashion field trip and a costume party! Loved it!

Field Trip # 1

Finally had the time to post this. Energy was running low for the past two weeks. But I'm alive again! hehehe... So, here's a super delayed post.

Day 2 of fashion styling class. Lecture in the morning and field trip in the afternoon. Where?
Philippine Fashion Week Holiday 2011! Attended Day 5 Luxe Wear Collection

Designers I heart...
Julius Tarog was on top of my list. Love the androgynous pieces!!! Pull-out worthy!

Melvin Lachica. Love zee fabric!

Santi Obcena. Loved the Dramatic Black. I shall borrow for one of our shoots in class. Can be?
Wait! Look closely at the photo. Can you spot Ryuji and Rxandy? hehehe

Had a ticket for Day 6 (thanks Mike and Trisha) but was too tired to attend. SMX was like a continent away. 'Til the next runway show!

Taking from men, that's how I put it, in my case, when I do attempt to don an adrogynous look, I take it from...a boy, a teenage boy - my lil bro. I guess this explains why I never had a hard core man-ish look, mine always comes out to be just a lil boyish or tomboyish. My attempts were never too XY-ish, unable to minimize much of my femininity.

I never wanted to go hardcore. I love the prim and proper, the fragile sexiness in being a woman. I like highlighting that when I dress up. But there's just this certain sexiness in taking inspiration from men's fashion - I guess it's the pinch of toughness.

BASICally

There are times you just want to stick to the basics. Nothing wrong with that! But there are some who have vowed to wear the basics all their life, to play it safe, i guess. But one fashionista turning into the basics does not mean she has joined the fashion play-it-safers. She just wants to go the minimalist direction... but of course with a few twists and turns
This asymmetrical shirt dress just stirs the look of the classic white button-down shirt to a different direction.
The fringes bring the crisp white shirt to a whole new level....It's flapper-girlish

More of the non-boring basics!
